Chapter L Crawfordsville T.T.T. Society meets at Olds United Church of Christ

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of the Sword of Gold.
Seven members answered roll call with "What is your favorite thing about fall?"
The September 25, 2023 minutes were approved as read by Nancy McGohan.
Correspondence:
President Shelman received a check from the Washington Chapter (DL) who recently disbanded. A thank you note has been sent and they were invited to join Chapter L for their upcoming game night.
Missy Fear sent a letter telling what the local chapter has done the past year with dues reminder. She shared correspondence she had received from Mary Benson, Ruth Erwin, Tina Shelman, Chris Morgan and Rose Lauer.
The Treasurer's Report was given by Missy Fear.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Audit: Marlys Fear and Karolyn Crawford reviewed the books and found them in good order.
Camp: President Shelman and Nancy McGohan shared information in regards to the change of dates for next summer's camp.
Charity and Camp Girls' Gifts: Nothing to report.
Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford asked for commitments from members who would be able to help Thursday, November 16 at Addington Place with the "Lunch for a Cause."
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: President Shelman reported having invited the Wayland Chapter to Game Night on November 27. She reminded everyone to bring a snack and the meeting will begin earlier at 6:30 p.m.
NEW BUSINESS: President Shelman and Nancy McGohan reported on the National Convention they had attended.
BILLS FOR PAYMENT and PROPOSAL OF NAMES FOR MEMBERSHIP: None.
Installation of Officers took place: The new slate is: President: Barb Shelman; Vice President: Joan Rodgers; Recording Secretary: Nancy McGohan; Treasurer: Missy Fear; Historian: Karolyn Crawford; Parliamentarian: Joan Rodgers and Corresponding Secretary: Marlys Fear.
ADJOURNMENT:
President Shelman thanked those who attended.
The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed.
Following the meeting the group enjoyed Apple Cake provided by President Shelman.
T.T.T. FUNDRAISER
Chapter L will be holding a fundraiser "Lunch For A Cause" on Thursday, November 16 from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Addington Place in Mt. Pleasant to raise money for Camping for Girls.
Turkey Tetrazzini, Green Peas, Garlic Bread and Apple Turnover for dessert will be the lunch featured, all for $7. This is Carry Out or Delivery in Mt. Pleasant for one or more group orders. To place Carry Out or Delivery, please call Addington Place at 319--385-7227 by November 8.
INGATHERING KITS
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Ingathering Kits that Pastor Jason will deliver to Midwest Missions in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, November 4.
Pat Miller has worked tirelessly to put these together. There are 118 Student School Kits and 38 Person Dignity Kits, along with five Cover Them With Love Quilts. A check also accompanies them for postage.
TRIBULATION AND TRUST MINISTRIES
This is the 2nd Annual Fundraiser Banquet /Auction on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Hope Center on the corner of South B. Avenue and W. Washington St. in Washington, IA.
They will be serving Smoked Chicken or Pork Tenderloin, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Baked Beans, Salad, Cornbread and Desserts.
All proceeds go to the Lighthouse Center and The Storehouse Food Pantry.
