Chapter L of National T.T.T. meets
CRAWFORDSVILLE NEWS

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society met on Monday, Sept. 27 at the Olds United Church of Christ. President Barb Shelman opened the meeting with the group singing Sword of Gold.
Roll call was answered by nine members sharing "Their Weirdest Food" ever eaten. President Shelman read the minutes of the July 26, 2021 meeting, which were approved as read.
The treasurer's report was given by Missy Fear and reported receipts from Tip Night and money spent for Camp Girls cards/stamps and gift cards.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Camp: Discussion was held on the number of girls that the group will be sending to camp in 2022 and a motion was made, seconded and passed to send two girls in 2022.
Charity: President Shelman will contact WACO schools what needs they have for winter clothing items. The Sunshine Fund will be used to purchase these items.
Camp Girls' Gifts: It was reported one birthday card/gift had been sent this month.
Way and Means: Karolyn Crawford reported on tip night at Pizza Ranch in Washington. President Shelman thanked Karolyn, Missy and Marlys Fear for working this fundraising event.
There was discussion concerning the annual November bazaar and whether to have it. The item was tabled to the October meeting.
Old Business, New Business and Bills for Payment: None
President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ, since the Swedesburg Museum is closed. Roll call will be "What was your favorite Halloween costume?“ The meeting closed with the closing creed.
Visitors in the home of David and Zola Cerka last week were Dave's sister and husband, Beth and Lee Tubach of Arvada, Colorado. Beth came especially for her class reunion from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids.
Crooked Creek to host Fall Celebration
The first annual Fall Celebration at Crooked Creek Christian Camp will be held Saturday, Oct. 9 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Camp by Sunset Shelter (the shelter by the pond at the main entrance to the camp.) This will be held rain or shine with the rain location in the Activity Center.
There will be Food, live music, boating, fishing, hay rack ride, fall activities, bouncy castle and much more! Please bring your lawn chairs!
A free will donation will help cover costs. This will be a fun time for all ages.
This will be the Church's Fall Social Event.
