Chapter L of National T.T.T. Society meets

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met Monday, May 22, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of Sword of Gold.
Preceding the meeting the camp shower was held. Once the gifts were opened everyone celebrated Hadley's birthday with cake and cherry limeade drinks made by Nancy McGohan.
Seven members and five guests answered roll call with "What is your favorite time of day?"
The April 2023 minutes were read by Nancy McGohan and they were approved as read.
Correspondence:
President Shelman reported some highlights from the Tidings publication. She also read thank you notes for monetary donations to the National project and the State project fund.
The treasurer's report was submitted by Missy Fear.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Camp: Nancy and President Shelman reported on the shopping trip with the two campers and they are planning to meet the bus both before and after camp.
Charity: Nothing
Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford reported on tip night at the Pizza Ranch in Mt. Pleasant on May 8. The tips have already been received, but the sales percentage is still outstanding. Lunch at Addington Place in Mt. Pleasant has been rescheduled due to a double booking. The new date is November 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Area communities are urged to come out and support the group's cause by purchasing a meal. Karolyn will also check into other fundraising opportunities.
New Business: Betty Molander shared that Marge Tolander will be celebrating her 90th birthday on May 30. A card was passed to sign.
Old Business: None
Bills for Payment: Pat Miller presented bills for birthday and graduation gift cards. A motion was made, seconded and passed to allow these.
Proposal of Names for Membership: None
Adjournment: President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday,, June 25, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. President Shelman will be hostess and the Camp Shower report will take place prior to the start of the meeting.
The meeting closed with the Closing Creed.
