Chapter L of National T.T.T. Society meets in Olds

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of Sword of Gold.
Roll Call: Five members and six guests from Chapter J, answered by telling their "favorite dessert."
Minutes: Nancy McGohan read the October 23, 2023 minutes, which were approved as corrected.
Correspondence: President Shelman was contacted by the WACO PTO to see if the group would want to make a contribution towards the Santa Shop. A motion was made, seconded and passed to donate funds to be used by the students who didn't have money to shop with. President Shelman shared some highlights from the recent issue of the Tidings, as well. Copies of the 2021-2923 reports were distributed and discussed.
Missy Fear reported membership dues were sent in.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
The 2023 Program Schedule and Committee Sign up sheets were passed around.
Camp and Charity: Nothing to report.
Camp Girls' Gifts: Missy Fear reported that the holiday gift cards were sent to the 2023 camper girls.
Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford reported that there was a good turnout for the "Lunch for a Cause" fundraiser. She booked a date for July 2025.
OLD BUSINESS, NEW BUSINESS, BILLS FOR PAYMENT and PROPOSAL OF NAMES for MEMBERSHIP: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
President Shelman thanked those who attended and wished everyone a Merry Christmas. The next meeting will be Monday, February 26, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ.
The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed.
Prior to the start of the meeting there was a buffet of snacks and a time of fellowship. At the conclusion, a game of Bunko (including prizes) was led by Marlys Fear.
WHITE CLOUD CLUB
The White Cloud Club met December 5, 2023 at the home of Jolene Colthurst, decorated in a Christmas theme. A delicious meal was enjoyed.
President Betty Lintz opened the business meeting with two readings, "The Back Seat Driver", which had some fun facts and "I Wish", which had a Christmas and Life meaning.
Minutes of the November meeting were approved as read. A motion was made and approved to pay Betty for making the year's program books. The financial report was approved as well.
A gift exchange was held and each received a gift, with no two alike. Christmas cookies and a candy exchange, with everyone taking a plate home to enjoy later.
Upon heading home each was given a small token gift by Jolene.
There will be no January meeting.
