Chapter L of T.T.T. meets at United Church of Christ

Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Olds. The meeting opened with the singing of the Sword of Gold.
Connie Krieger, the State Corresponding Secretary/Historian came for a chapter visit. She had a few questions for the group and asked if they had any for her.
Roll Call: Six members and one guest answered roll with "What is your favorite ice cream flavor"?
Minutes: Nancy McGohan read the November 27, 2023 minutes and they were approved as read.
Correspondence: President Shelman reviewed the Tidings--highlighting the goodshop account, marketing is still being worked on and the budget. A flier from the National T.T.T. was shared in regards to T-shirt orders. From Tidbits and Tales, members were reminded that they are in zone 3 and ran through a list of other chapters in this zone.
The Treasurer's Report was given by Missy Fear.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Camp: Nancy McGohan reported camp dates will be June 2-7. She will reach out to a potential camper this week and President Shelman will check with the school for a second camper.
Charity: Nothing to report.
Camp Girls' Gifts: Pat Mille sent three cards in January and one in February. Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford reported she will be reaching out to set a date for fundraising opportunities.
UNFINISHED/ OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: The 76th State Convention will take place April 12 and 13 at the Isle Casino in Bettendorf, IA. Delegates to the convention will be selected next month. Bylaw revisions of articles IV, V and VII were read by President Shelman. These will be voted upon during convention with the intention of bringing them up to date.
BILLS FOR PAYMENT: A bill was submitted for payment of cards. A motion was made, seconded and carried to pay this.
PROPOSAL OF NAMES FOR MEMBERSHIP: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. Karolyn Crawford will be hostess. The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed.
Following the meeting, dessert was provided by Marlys Fear, using one of her grandmother's recipes.
UPCOMING EVENTS
SPAGHETTI SUPPER: The Crawfordsville Community Club will hold a Spaghetti Supper Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Fire Station. Spaghetti, Desserts and Drinks will be provided for a free-will offering.
FIREMAN'S PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Crawfordsville Fire Department will hold a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, March 30 from 6-9 a.m. at the Fire Station. Pancakes, Sausage Patties, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns and Gravy will be served as well as drinks. This will be offered for a free-will offering. Dine- in or Carry-out.
An Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Crawfordsville Community Club will follow at 9:30 a.m. at the Ball Park.
