Chapter L of TTT meets at Olds United Church of Christ

Chapter L of T.T.T. Society members met Monday, July 22, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of the Sword of Gold.

Roll Call: Seven members answered with "What is your favorite animal or pet?"

Minutes: Nancy McGohan read the minutes from the June 2024 meeting and they were approved as read.

Correspondence:

President Shelman shared emails she had received in regards to how to access the camp video. From the Tidings she reviewed the DBA survey, a marketing professional needs to be hired,corporate sponsors are Fareway and Farm Bureau. By-law change proposals are due December 1. The National Convention will be held in Chicago October 23-25.

Chapter L was mentioned under the Violet Award and it was mentioned when shopping online to think about using Goodshop and Goodsearch.

The passing of Louise Seberg, a member of the Wayland Chapter was mentioned.

Pat Miller shared a thank you card from a past camper who had graduated.

The Founders Day Ceremony took place.

The Treasurer's Report was given by Missy Fear and will be filed for audit.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Camp: It was decided to send two girls to camp in 2025 and chapter members were asked if they knew of any upcoming 4th graders.

Camp Girls' Gifts: Pat Miller had sent two cards in July.

Ways and Means: The Chapter's upcoming fundraiser will be at the Mt. Pleasant Pizza Hut on August 28th. The general public is encouraged to dine there or order to go on that day to help support sending girls to camp in 2025.

President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ.

RUMMAGE SALE

Heads up!! The United Church Women of the United Church of Crawfordsville will hold their Fall Rummage Sale: Wednesday, August 28,Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The sale will feature Clothing of all sizes ranging from Infants to Adults; Household Items, Toys, Furniture, Books, Bedding, etc.

There is something for everyone, all for a Free-will Offering. PLEASE be sure items you bring are CLEAN and in GOOD Condition. Don't bring something you wouldn't want. NO TV's or COMPUTERS!!

Items can be brought to the church starting Tuesday, August 13 and left in the northeast room of the church which will be labeled.
