Chapter Original A talks women?s health
Chapter Original A met on Oct. 5, 2016, in the home of Jean Reschly, with Lesa Fitzpatrick and Lois Roth serving as co-hostesses. Twenty-two members were present.
President Deb Sinclair conducted the business meeting. Through the process of transfer, Janey Lauer, Rose Lauer, Linda McGohan, Nancy McGohan and Robyn Willham were welcomed as members transferring to Chapter Original A.

Chapter Original A met on Oct. 5, 2016, in the home of Jean Reschly, with Lesa Fitzpatrick and Lois Roth serving as co-hostesses. Twenty-two members were present.
President Deb Sinclair conducted the business meeting. Through the process of transfer, Janey Lauer, Rose Lauer, Linda McGohan, Nancy McGohan and Robyn Willham were welcomed as members transferring to Chapter Original A.
Chapter Original A is participating in the Parcel of Sisterly Affection to a P.E.O. Scholar Recipient program, specifically supporting Sarah O?Dor, a PHD student in clinical psychology studying at Northwestern University. A card was circulated for Sarah.
Mary Elgar reported on the Iowa P.E.O, Project Fund. The state chairman?s theme is ?Carry P.E.O. in Your Heart?.
During IWU Homecoming weekend, Anita Hampton and Janey Lauer conducted tours of the P.E.O. Memory Rooms for visitors on campus.
Committee assignments and final preparations were outlined by the president for the Oct. 10 social meeting for all Henry County P.E.O. Chapters.
Several articles in the most recent edition of the P.E.O. magazine, ?The Record? were highlighted. Members were also made aware of inclusion of P.E.O. in the newly released book, ?Images of America: Mount Pleasant? written by Jeff Meyer and John Hendrickson.
Members were asked to complete and submit their chapter survey.
Following the business meeting, Dr. Michelle Tansey-Meyer presented a program on Breast Health and Breast Cancer Update. In addition to the updated knowledge, findings, and practices related to breast health and treatment of breast cancer shared by Dr. Tansey-Meyer, she emphasized women should be getting mammography screenings.
The next meeting will be held on Nov. 2, in the home of Michelle Rosell.
