Donald Charles Poore, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday February 5, 2019 in his home. The son of Willard E. and Vera L. Gibbs Poore was born on November 22, 1942 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was a graduate of Mt. Union High school and obtained a bachelor's in general studies from Iowa Wesleyan. He was an assembly line worker and inventory manager at Bluebird in Mt. Pleasant for many years. He was active in bicycling and was a softball coach. He was of the Methodist faith.

Donald is survived by a sister, Marjorie (Kendall) Neil of Washington, Iowa; a brother, Dennis Edward Aldridge of California; several nieces nephews, and cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles.

A graveside service for Donald will be at a later date in the Winfield-Scott Cemetery in Winfield, Iowa.
