Chicken, biscuit supper March 9
LIBERTYVILLE ? Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville is having a chicken and biscuit supper March 9 at the church.
Carryouts will be available at 4:30 p.m., and serving begins at 5 p.m.
The menu includes chicken and biscuits, vegetables, salad bar, pie and cake.
A free-will donation will be collected.

LIBERTYVILLE ? Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville is having a chicken and biscuit supper March 9 at the church.
Carryouts will be available at 4:30 p.m., and serving begins at 5 p.m.
The menu includes chicken and biscuits, vegetables, salad bar, pie and cake.
A free-will donation will be collected.
Local farmer wins funds for church, Kiwanis club
Sean Krumboltz of Fairfield has selected Foursquare Church and Fairfield Kiwanis Club as recipients of $2,500 donations from the America?s Farmers Grow Communities contest sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
Krumboltz and a Monsanto representative will participate in a check presentation for the church and the Kiwanis club at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Foursquare Church.
Grow Communities gives farmers the opportunity to win a $2,500 donation for a local nonprofit organization of the farmer?s choice. Winning farmers in counties declared draught disaster areas, like Jefferson County, were able to win $5,000 to be divided between two groups.
Gamma Circle meets Thursday
The Gamma Circle of First Presbyterian Church will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Nell Swygard will be hostess. Evelyn Bradfield will be co-hostess.
Shirley McCracken will have devotions, and Frieda Dill will have the program.
