Roll call was answered by telling of ?a favorite dish you remember that your grandmother made.? Minutes were read by Pat Fritz. Jackie Ross gave the treasurer?s report.
Ross updated the club on books that she is considering to purchase in memory of Nita Lovick. The club had some discussion on this. She will do some more checking on books.
There was no correspondence.
President McCurdy reminded members about Area Day, which will be held Sept. 27 in Keokuk. Deadline to register is Sept. 19. McCurdy also told the club that Jan Johnston, historian, is requesting a chapter history of each club, and that she would contact the historian to get more information on what is needed. She also asked if any members had anything they would like to put in the Quester Quarterly; deadline is Oct. 1. Kathleen plans to submit a photo of the Bridges window display from the 175th anniversary of Washington. Also noted was that Nov. 15 is the deadline for grant applications.
