Chilcote Questers meet

Chilcote Questers No. 1092 met in December in Washington. The meeting was called to order by President Kathleen Almelien. Phyllis Eisele was co-hostess and Mary Levy the hostess for the annual Christmas auction as well as monthly meeting.
Roll call was answered by a memory of one’s favorite Christmas Cookie. Minutes were read and approved as corrected. A motion by Pat Cody, seconded by Wendy Langan added the correct treasurer’s balance to the minutes. The motion was approved. The December treasurer’s report was given. There were no bills, so the amount was approved, on motion of Jackie Ross with the second by Joanne Worley. Motion carried.
The Christmas library window will be themed “Under the Christmas Tree’ and will be filled Dec. 5 at 9:00 a.m. Removal will occur Dec. 30 at 9:00 a.m. Members should bet items to the library to be displayed in the windows and they should be labeled for return.
No correspondence was received. There was discussion of a donation to Conger House to aid in the dining room restoration currently being worked on. On motion of Worley, 2nd Marj Lins, $500.00 will be donated to Conger House for restoration work. Motion carried. An International grant was discussed, but there was no project worthy of submission at this time.
The new business was minimal and the February meeting will be Feb. 2, a Thursday, at Arts Domestique. Pyrography (Woodburning) will be the program by Almelien, with Cody as Co-hostess. Jeri Klein announced Christmas in Keota for Sat., Dec. 3, 2022. Linda Gonshorowski moved the meeting close, seconded by Cody. Motion carried and the Christmas Auction followed.
