Christmas happenings in the Crawfordsville area

Butch and Monica Temple and Eli Temple spent Christmas Day with Monica's mother, Barb Freyermuth in Iowa City. Joining them were the Temple's daughter, Abbie McElroy and their grandchildren, Brantley, Samantha and Grayson of Riverside.

Larry and Donna Fletcher and Steve and Pam Green of Washington had dinner Christmas Eve with Fletcher and Sam Green and Calla at North Liberty. While there, they all Face Timed Jacob and Sam Green in North Carolina.

On Christmas Eve, the Henry and Betty Davis descendants gathered at the American Legion Hall in Crawfordsville. Spaghetti and garlic bread was the main course this year and everyone brought food, goodies and drink items to go along with that.

Santa Claus arrived in time to hand out presents to the great-grandchildren that were there. The remainder of the time was spent eating and playing games

Sanford and Nancy Rugg, all of Crawfordsville; Levi and Alisha, Cecil and Leah Kelley of Wellman; Ryan and Carman, Peyton and Paxton, Wayland; Marcus and Brittany, Makinley, Brysen and Merrick, Mt. Pleasant; Jerry and Mindy, Blaine, Wyatt, Olivia and Lilly Driscoll, Williamsburg; Randy and Jill DeYarman; Kayti, Owen and Theo Henderson, Cedar Rapids and Chelsea and Clarissa Rugg of Washington.

Several in the group attended candlelight services at the United Church of Crawfordsville.

Christmas guests in the home of Gene and Pat Miller and Lance Miller were Tom Olsen of Polk City, IA and Lindsey Miller of Cedar Rapids.

Corey and Shelby Hogue, Maddie, Gearsyn and Ellinor entertained Margaret Patterson and Tiffany Hogue at an early Christmas dinner on Thursday, December 27. Then Margaret went to Cedar Rapids Sunday and visited until the 26 among her daughters, Tiffany Hogue and Krista Woltman and families.

Mike and Shirley Massey and Shirley's mother, Ramona Von Sprecken celebrated Christmas Day in the home of their daughter and granddaughter, Michelle Campbell in Cedar Rapids. Also present were Michelle's children and grandchildren, Ashley and Banks Hoffman of Cedar Rapids and significant other, Brandon. as well as Austin and Kim Hoffman and Matteo of North Liberty.

David Cerka and daughter Joleen Cerka joined other family members as Christmas brunch guests of David II and Veronica Cerka in Cedar Rapids. The remainder of the day was spent in Crawfordsville at David and Zola's home where they were joined by Zola's son, John Winter.

Carmen Steele of Omaha, NE, Doug and Carrie Wilkerson and Emma of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele of Crawfordsville spent Christmas with Doug and Carol Steele.
