On Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 family members of the late Cleo and Arlene Fletcher celebrated an early Christmas. Present were Larry and Donna Fletcher of Crawfordsville; Steve and Pam Green of Washington; Jacob Green of Rockwell City and friend, Zoey Thompson of Cedar Falls; Fletcher Green of Cedar Rapids and friend, Sam Milder of Iowa City; Brad and Carol Fletcher of Cedar Falls; Clint Fletcher and friend, Emma Redington of Cedar Falls; Emma Fletcher of Cedar Rapids and friend, Ryleigh Reed of Cedar Falls; Mick and Kathy Garris of Winfield, Troy Garris and Rod Salasay of Chicago, Charlie and Jennifer Dill, Aliyah, Garrison, Halle and Sienna of Kansas City, Erik and Bekah Garris and Clint of Arvada, Colo., Robin Fletcher, Corey and Amy Mellies, Lily, Claire and Oliver of Ames; and Caleb and Linsey Zimmerman, Henry, John and Kate of Cedar Falls.
The group enjoyed being together for a bountiful dinner and a fun game for their gift exchange.
The family of the late Henry and Betty Davis enjoyed a Christmas Eve supper and get-together at the Crawfordsville Legion Hall. Santa made his appearance early and passed out gifts. Attending were Jan and Ernie Whiting; Will and Melinda and Owen Whiting and Alyson Whiting; Ann and Duane Lewis; Levi and Alisha Kelley, Cecil and Leah; Emily and Scott Boylan and Ryleigh; Scott and Jeanne Davis, Angela and Amber and friends, Lily and Rebecca; Steve and Pam Davis; Mindy and Jerry Driscoll, Blaine, Wyatt and Olivia; Kimberly and Henry Farrell and Eric and Jes Davis, Javan, Jaxon and Jayda; Marcus and Brittany Davis, MaKinley, Brysen and Merrick; Ryan and Carmen Davis, Peyton and Paxton; Jill and Randy DeYarmen; Joanie Kanneberg, Luna and Eve; Katie Henderson and Gwendolyn; and Nancy and Sanford Rugg, Chelsea and Clarissa. After supper several members of the family attended Christmas Eve church services at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
Matt and Ilona Roberts of Goshen, Ind., spent the weekend with her parents, Joe and Alice Hochstetler.
Christmas dinner guests in the home of Floyd and Pauline Richardson were Alan and Lori Richardson, and Colby from Adel; Rick and Teresa TeKolste, Colton, Logan and Devon from Altoona; John and Regina Arthur from Iowa City; Mike and Tiffany Arthur from Hills; Jim and Jessica Arthur and Brilee from Houston, Texas.; Jill Arthur from Denver, Colo. and David Richardson from Winfield. Max and Kelly Dotson and Leila of Richland stopped by in the afternoon.
Willard and Dorothy Sands and Virginia Sands were among relatives enjoying Christmas at the home of Rex and LeAnn Felts.
Doug and Carol Steele hosted a dinner for their family Christmas noon. Attending were Harold Steele, Carmen Steele, Cory and Katie Steele, Kylee and Clayton and Carrie and Doug Wilkerson and Emma.
Aline Hesseltine, Glenn Hesseltine and Josh and Brooke Hesseltine, Bentley and Johonnah, all of Crawfordsville, spent Christmas Day with Dianna and Rush Brentlinger in Iowa City. Others present were Richard Hesseltine of Iowa City; Angie and Tom Gerot of Crawfordsville; Sandra and Kevin Smith,Melissa and Jason of Mt. Pleasant; Dianna and Rush's family, Rush Brentlinger Jr. of Iowa City; Megan and family of N.C., Jamie and family from Muscatine and Emily and daughter from Iowa City.
Christmas Eve guests of Billie Jo Rose were Kevin Rose and Beth Bennett and Joi and David Dellamuth. On Christmas, Kevin, Joi and David were present.
On Sunday,Roy and Amanda Felts and Izzy were guests of Ron and Susie Butler and Pat Smalley for an early Christmas. On Friday, they will all go to Kansas City to celebrate with Jonell and Steven Kraus.
Word has been received here of the death of former resident Vicki Conrad Fish, 69, of Muscatine, wife of Mike Fish who passed away Dec. 10, 2018, at the U.I.H.C. following a lingering illness. Vicki was the youngest daughter of longtime residents, Allen and Genevee Conrad. She was a 1968 graduate of WACO High School No services were held at this time with burial at a later date in the Crawfordsville Cemetery.
