Through the generosity of the families of Dale and Mildred Krumbotz and James Dunlevy, First Lutheran also awarded $400 to Russell and $400 to Thompson. These two scholarships are endowed by family gifts to the church and the earnings each year fund the scholarships.
In the 12 years of awarding various scholarships and scholarship/loans, more than $80,000 has been awarded to youth at the church to help further their education.
Recipients are encouraged to ?pay it forward? in whatever church they attend after their formal education is completed.
