Hope Lutheran hosts annual Fish Fry, auction

BRIGHTON ? Hope Lutheran Church of Germanville/Brighton is hosting its annual Fish Fry and Auction Oct. 15, at the Brighton Gym.

Food is served from 5-7 p.m. The auction begins after the meal.

The meal is $8 for adults and includes fish, baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, roll, homemade ice cream, bars and a drink.

A children?s menu will be available for $4 featuring a hot dog, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, cookies and a drink.

Items in the auction include baked goods, floral arrangements, firewood, crocheted items, gift certificates, frozen meals, basket sets and more.

Friends Church serves up festival

Pleasant Plain Friends Church is hosting its annual Fall Festival beginning with a meal at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

Entertainment with The Loynachans Gospel Trio of Winterset, begins at 7 p.m.

UMC offers Trash and Treasures

First United Methodist Church hosts its annual fall bazaar from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 14, and 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 15, in the basement area at 201 N. Court St.

A tenderloin meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 14 that includes potato salad, baked beans, salad, desserts and a beverage. Free-will offerings will be accepted.

Rolls and coffee will be available Saturday.

Bazaar items for sale range from crafts, frozen apple pies, a baked good and food table assortment, and trash and treasures.
