Churches plan suppers, auctions, revival
Many activities set at Foursquare Harvest Party
Fairfield Foursquare Church will have its annual Harvest Party from 4-6 p.m. Saturday.
Activities will include an obstacle course, hayrides, a maze, bounce houses, a cake/candy walk; bingo, train rides, a photo booth, face painting and games with prizes and candy.
Entertainment is planned.

Fairfield Foursquare Church will have its annual Harvest Party from 4-6 p.m. Saturday.

Eldon church plans Harvest Supper, Country Store
ELDON ? Eldon United Methodist Church will have its Harvest Supper and Country Store from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 1.
The Harvest Supper menu will include fried chicken, ham balls, mashed potatoes, salads and desserts featuring homemade pies.
Requests for carry-out meals will be taken until 4 p.m. at 641-652-3207.
The meal will be served from 4-7 p.m.
A freewill offering will be collected.
Packwood church plans Harvest Home supper
PACKWOOD ? Packwood Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will have its Harvest Home supper Nov. 2 in the church?s Van Voorst Fellowship Hall.
The menu will include roast beef, ham balls, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, squash, creamed turnips, rolls, salads, pies and beverages.
Serving will be from 5-7 p.m.
Carry-outs will be available by calling 319-695-3443. Carry-out orders will be available for pick up after 4 p.m.
A freewill offering will be collected for the meal.
God?s Portion Supper set at Douds-Leando church
DOUDS-LEANDO ? Christ United Methodist Church will have its 62nd annual God?s Portion Supper and Sale Nov. 2 in fellowship hall.
The freewill offering supper starts at 5 p.m., with a full home-cooked meal featuring turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, carrots and a variety of homemade salads, pies and cakes.
An auction conducted by auctioneers Ron Sprouse and Col. Mike Goering starts at 6:30 p.m. Many items will be auctioned, including a quilt handmade by the late May Doud, a ?Raggie Ann? doll made by the late Marie Greenfield, an afghan, antique pie and salad dishes used by the Douds and Leando Methodist churches; church plate and cup, many baked goods and many miscellaneous items.
Lord?s Acre Sale Nov. 2 at Batavia United Methodist
BATAVIA ? Batavia United Methodist Church will have its Lord?s Acre Sale the evening of Nov. 2.
A soup supper will be served beginning at 5 p.m. The menu will include chili, vegetable beef soup, salad, pie and cake. A freewill offering will be collected.
An auction, with auctioneer Rick Spees, will begin at 7 p.m. Crafts and homemade baked goods will be available.
Gateway Singers performing at Eldon church revival
ELDON ? A revival is planned Nov. 3-5 at Eldon Christian Church.
The revival will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 3 and at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5.
The event will include music by Gateway Singers.
The Gateway Singers Ministry Inc., from Centerville and Ottumwa, are a traveling worship team in their 44th year of ministry. Dave and Jan McSpadden and Don and Vikki Hunt have teamed together since 1969 to create gospel music. Both Dave McSpadden and Don Hunt are ordained ministers; their wives are sisters. Ministry has taken them to 45 states, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. They have recorded 20 albums.
A nursery will be available during the services for children 3 years old and younger.
Refreshments will be served after each service.
