City news and storm debris update
City offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day. Garbage collection will be one day later next week.
On Tuesday, Sept. 4, the City of Mt. Pleasant will continue collecting branches and tree limbs, for affected areas beginning at 7 a.m. Branches and tree limbs must be placed next to the curb. Stickers are not required.

An emergency tree disposal site is in effect at 715 E. Henry St. They will be receiving branches and tree limbs from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Sept. 7.
