The Aug. 14 meeting of the Franklin Cubs was called to order by President Ben Schneider. The host of the meeting was Garrett Conway.
The activity was to write thank-you notes to the Washington County Fair sponsors and volunteers. The roll call was ?How did you do at the county fair?? The secretary?s report was given and approved and the treasurer?s report was given and approved. Old business was the RAGBRAI fundraiser with Prairie Pride and fair cleanup.
New business is the Fair evaluation meeting to be held on Sept. 8. Record books are due Sept. 18, at the next meeting. Jameson Bell had a presentation on the summer Olympics.
The meeting adjourned with the 4-H pledge. Afterward the club had a pizza party. The next Franklin Cubs meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m., Sept.18.
