The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Twelve members were present.

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Twelve members were present.
President Ellie Todd led the meeting. Bailey Rees led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was ?What is your favorite thing to do for other people around Christmas??
The secretary?s minutes were read by Sophie Bell and approved by Zoe Dennler. Baylee Stalder seconded them. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Natalie McCleary approved the treasurer?s report, seconded by Bailey Rees.
In Old Business, Tina Montz and Donna Palmer sent thank-you notes to the club for their work on the Old School House Building on the Washington County Fairgrounds; which were read aloud. Club members were given free entry fee for any Open Class Exhibits in the Old School House Building at the 2016 Washington County Fair for their volunteer efforts to help restore the building.
Club leader, Tanya Stalder is contacting Graphic Edge for the club apparel order to have apparel order forms ready at its January meeting.
Club members chose to table an Open House at the Old School House Building until Spring 2016 to showcase the building and their hard work to update the interior. Bring ideas of ways to host an open house at the next meeting to plan ahead.
In New Business, Kerri Bell shared about the 2016 Region 15 4-H Intermediate Trip to St. Louis, Missouri. Look for more information from Amy Green, Washington County 4-H CYC after the new year on this exciting trip with Washington, Keokuk, Iowa and Johnson County Intermediate 4-H'ers.
Zoe Dennler motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ellie Bell. Emma Craig led the 4-H Pledge.
After the meeting club members participated in a Christmas Mystery Meal. Then everyone ate a delicious meal including club member?s family. All club members brought gifts to exchange while club leader Tanya Stalder read ?The Right Family? story that consisted of passing your present to your right or left. Green Acres 4-H Club Leader, Tanya Stalder handed out a gift of her own to every club member too.
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Jan. 24, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building.
