Club News

The Walnut Women?s Club met at 7 p.m. on July 14, 2016, at the home of Mary Ann, Susie, and Merle Pacha for the annual family ice cream social. Nine members, seven husbands and three guests, Ed and Alicia Pacha and Nolan Burke, were present.

The program was given by officer Nolan Burke and his K-9 officer Vasco. The group was told the purpose of the dog, care and duties. Questions were answered, followed by a demonstration on how a dog sniffs out drugs. It was enjoyed by all.

Everyone enjoyed homemade ice cream, toppings and desserts, and visiting.

A short business meeting was held. Mary Ann Pacha presided, Joyce Letts gave the secretary?s report, and Carolyn Bollman presented the treasurer?s report. Roll call was answered by ?an occupation or job you might like to have or wish to do.?

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m., Aug. 11, at the home of Pat Johnson. She will give the program on her trip to London and Paris.
