American Legion Post 29 met in regular session with Wayne Kaufman commanding. Reports were heard from Adjutant Jim Peterson on finances and membership, Mike Worley on funerals provided by the Post Honor Guard, Bob Kennedy on the upcoming state convention, and Lonny Milligan regarding activities of the food stand operation. The post will operate a booth at the county fair in hopes of adding to its membership.

In lieu of a program, the new officers for the upcoming year were installed by Bob Kennedy. They are commander Wayne Kaufman; first vice commander, Mike York; Adjutant, Jim Peterson; Sergeant-at-arms Jerry Vonnahme, and service officer Mike Worley.

Area veterans are invited to attend meetings of Post 29, held at the Blair House the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
