Tuesday Coffee Club met on Sept. 1 for breakfast at The Frontier Restaurant. Rosemary Worley was hostess to 12 members.
Following the delicious meal it was decided to purchase a book at The Public Library in memory of Joyce Taylor who was secretary of the club for many years. Joyce did a excellent job of keeping members' informed of up-coming meetings and designed the club booklets for several years. Failing health made it impossible for her to continue until shortly before her death. She will be remembered by all as such a special lady.
Vivian Griffith used the help of club members to prepare material for a program she was presenting to a group of residents later in the afternoon. Our coloring skills were brought back after many years of leaving the crayons in the desk drawer. Member Bess Llewellyn was wished a happy birthday.
The next meeting will be held on Sept. 15 with Maxine Klopfenstein as hostess. We are to meet at the Walmart parking lot at 11 a.m. and go to Johnie B?s Restaurant in Wapello for a noon luncheon.
