Log Cabin Questers met at Dorothy Koehler?s apartment at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington on Oct. 5, 2017. The members were happy to welcome Martha Hahn back after her operation. They enjoyed talking about parking places at the United Presbyterian Home, as it is undergoing major building projects. Members observed that they were getting older, and getting to the right place was rather entertaining.

President Sheila Gerot called the meeting to order, with six members present. They answered roll call by showing old photos, bringing back memories. Sharon Hahn read the minutes of the last meeting. Norma Stutzman read a thank-you note from the Washington County Historical Society for a memorial for former member Bev Bartman. The group also received a note from Martha Hahn, who had surgery and recovered at the new wing in the Halcyon House.

Norma Stutzman had a very interesting program on stereopticons. What fun the members? ancestors must have had, looking and laughing with that new 3D technology! The members had fun looking at the pictures through Norma?s two stereoscopes. Some of the pictures were in color, some were funny, and many had historical views.

Sharon Hahn, Karen Lyons, and Sheila Gerot planned to attend the State Questers meeting in Indianola during the weekend, scheduled to be held at the historical Trinity United Presbyterian Church, which has beautiful round stained-glass windows. They also planned to tour the historical Randleman House in Carlisle.
