The Walnut Women Club annual family ice cream social was held at 7 p.m., July 13 at the home of Merle, Mary Ann and Susie Pacha, with 15 attending. Vice president Ilene Schnicker presided at the business meeting. Eight members answered roll call by giving one-dish-meal recipes. Homemade ice cream, toppings, pies, cake and bars were enjoyed by all.

The members and spouses will meet at the Pacha residence at 10:45 a.m., Aug. 6, to go to Salem for a noon buffet at the Underground Restaurant and later tour the Lewelling Quaker Museum.
