The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present.

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present.
President Ellie Todd led the meeting. Ellie Bell led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was ?What is one project/goal you want to accomplish this year??
The secretary?s minutes were read by Sophie Bell and approved by Natalie McCleary. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Maggie Smith approved the treasurer?s report.
In old business, Green Acres 4-H club leader Tanya Stalder gave an update on the club's apparel order, which won?t be ready for another week. New apparel is being added this year. She will e-mail club members the order form next week to get their orders placed before next month?s club meeting.
In New Business, the Father/Daughter Valentine?s Ball is Saturday, Feb. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration is due by Jan. 29. FSQA training in Washington will be held Saturday, April 23, from 8:15 a.m. to noon. Just a reminder that May 15 online animal identification is due. Animal Science Trip to ISU is March 28 for eighth-to-12th-graders; register with the Extension Office if interested in attending. 4-H Fire Up for 4-H'ers three years or fewer is Sunday, Feb. 21, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. The Dodgeball tournament is Sunday, March 6. Registration is due March 1. There is a cost per team or a cost per person. The 4-H Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Junior Camp is June 7-9 at Crooked Creek. The Intermediate Trip is March 11-12 to St Louis. Registration was due by Feb. 1. Maggie Smith shared about what the County Council is working on right now and what is on their agenda. Several club members created a committee for the Green Acres 4-H Club Open House. Sophie Bell is chair person. Ellie Todd, Ellie Bell, and Maggie Smith are also on the committee.
Zoe Dennler motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Baylee Stalder. Samantha Mellinger led the 4-H Pledge.
After the meeting Natalie McCleary gave a presentation on ?Holiday Vanilla Pudding Cake Cookies.? Bailey Rees gave a presentation on ?Programing Robots.? Ally Rees did a presentation on the ?Dog Project and How to Train Dogs.?
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building.
