The December meeting of the Washington United Methodist Women was held Dec. 9 at the church. Twenty-four members were present for a cookie exchange, which led to fixing cookie plates for several shut-ins. Marilyn Whitenack presented a Christmas program that involved singing led by Linda Soukup with piano music by Maurine Roberts. A birthday cake for Jesus was part of the afternoon. Twenty-four members were present for a cookie exchange, which led to fixing cookie plates for several shut-ins. Reports were given by Marilyn Whitenack on Spiritual Growth, Virginia Tschantz on Education, Gratefulness by Jan Stiles, Vic Patterson on Meeting in St. Louis, Cheryl Crone on Membership, and the pledge service for 2017 by Shirley Pfeifer. Hostesses were Margie Lasek and Connie Pence.
