Fleur-de-Lis Club members met at the Christmas decorated home of hostess, Linda Birney, for their annual salad luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 12:30 p.m.

Members enjoyed sitting around the dining room table with place favors at each setting to enjoy ham balls, a variety of salads, and rolls in addition to some sweet treats with Christmas background music.

Following the luncheon, Nancy Kimmel, president, conducted a short business meeting. Roll call was answered with members telling of their favorite Christmas carol. The Secretary and Treasurer?s Reports were given by Linda Birney. She also reported that a card with the club?s Christmas donation was delivered to HACAP. A Christmas card was signed for an inactive member, Shirley Whisler. Nancy Kimmel closed the meeting by reading the Legend of the Candy Cane. The hostess then highlighted some of the 52 Trivia Facts of Christmas from the Internet and concluded with a Christmas Carol Quiz with Theresa Hora winning the prize for being first to complete the quiz.

The remainder of the afternoon was spent visiting around the dining room table discussing family, a recent trip to South Africa by Theresa?s husband, Brian Hora and their son, Mitchell, Christmas plans and a variety of other topics.

The club will not meet during the months of January and February. Kathy Ebert will be in charge of the March 23, 2017, meeting which will be Husbands/Guest Night Out at 6:30 p.m.
