The regular meeting of the Washington Go-Getters 4-H Club was held on March 11, 2018, in the downstairs rooms of the Extension office building, hosted by Ikerd, Hoffman, and Allie Wulf.

The regular meeting of the Washington Go-Getters 4-H Club was held on March 11, 2018, in the downstairs rooms of the Extension office building, hosted by Ikerd, Hoffman, and Allie Wulf.
The meeting was called to order by president Leah Evans at 6:35 p.m. Roll call for the meeting was ?what are you going to do with your spring break?? Treasurer Hailey Shultz reported the checking account balance. In old business, John and Doug talked about the cemetery and updated members with what the club plans on doing with it over the summer. Alex Murphey shared with the club her experience on the intermediate 4-H trip to Chicago. It was moved and seconded to donate the remaining T-shirts.
In new business, teams were made for the kids who signed up to play dodge ball on March 15. Leah went over the Spring Project Extravaganza, scheduled for March 17. Swine production weigh-in is from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on March 24; members must call the Extension office to make an appointment. April 28 is the pancake breakfast and cattle show, and the club will be working the breakfast from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Goat weigh-in is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 3.The sheep weigh-in is from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on May 5. Each 4-H?er gave Doug his or her T-shirt size for the 4-H Exhibitor shirt. Doug talked about FSQA/YSQA training, which is needed to show livestock at county fair. 4-H discounts are available at Ace, Orscheln?s and JoAnn Fabric. Hailey talked about the club pride board. 4-H ISU plant science trip will be April 30, and those interested were asked to register by March 30. Doug talked about ?count your clovers, support 4-H?ers in 4-H.? Record-book workshop will be held on the second Sunday of August. Doug went over possibly using Google docs. April JR Talks/Presentations was discussed by John.
The meeting was adjourned. The 4-H Pledge was recited by Lean Evans, and talks were given by Michaela Hoffman on Athletic Training, and Brody Wagner on GMO Corn.
