The Oct. 16 meeting of the Franklin Cubs was called to order by new Vice President Jameson Bell. There was an election of officers last meeting. The roll call was ?What should you take away when you doing your Record Books?" The secretary's report and the treasurer's report were given and approved. Old business included turning in record books, enrolling on 4-H online, and 4-H Awards Night is at 5:30 p.m., Nov. 12, in the basement of the extension office. New business discussed was the upcoming installation of officers.
Members discussed whether they needed to remodel the champion board on the fairgrounds. Also discussed was reserving the Pizza Ranch meeting room for the Franklin Cubs Christmas party. The meeting adjourned with the 4-H pledge. Colin gave a presentation on how to tie a tie. Gavin gave a presentation on the Vietnam War. After the presentation members went out and and looked at the Champion board. The next meeting is Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m.
