A regular meeting of Chapter J of P.E.O. was held on March 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church with Betty Colby and Marie Dare serving as co-hostesses.
The program preceded the business meeting. President Sara Bartlett introduced Kate Glinsmann of Chapter OC who is ?Wild About Stained Glass.? Kate shared a very interesting video of her many and varied projects over the years. She told that her project ideas sometimes come from paintings and pictures, her own inspired ideas and stained glass pattern books. She?s looking forward to her retirement where she can spend more time on her hobby.
Highlights of the business meeting included the membership instructing treasurer Debbie Leith to make a donation for each of the six national P.E.O. projects.
President Bartlett announced that the next meeting will be April 7, at 6:30 p.m., at the home of Jane Kruse who is ?Wild About Bread Making.? Co-hostesses will be Sara Bartlett and Mary Chmelar.
President Bartlett hoped that many Chapter J members could together attend the upcoming April 22, 23 and 24 Washington High School performance of Beauty and the Beast. This will be the last production to be directed by member Lynn Loula, before her retirement.
President Sara Bartlett read her President?s letter and the chapter thanked her for her leadership and voted to accept her letter.
In closing, the slate of officers for 2016-2017 were installed by Betty Colby: president: Lynn Loula; vice president: Sara Bartlett; recording secretary: Marde McConnell; corresponding secretary: Jo Ross; treasurer: Debbie Leith; guard: Mary Carol Fish; and chaplain: Carol Winga.
