9SE District Governor Don Foor is pleased to announce the formation of a Campus Lions Club at Iowa Wesleyan University in Mount Pleasant. Twenty-five students and faculty have agreed to join Lions Clubs International to provide service on their campus and in their community of Mount Pleasant. Lions Clubs are the largest service organization in the world with over 46,000 Lions Clubs; including 500 Campus Lions Clubs serving their communities in 214 countries.
The Rev. Ronald Bupp is the faculty advisor for the new group. The president is Elijah Westercamp.
A charter banquet will be held at the Iowa Wesleyan University Social Hall on Monday, April 18, at 6 p.m. There is a ticket fee, which can be mailed to Lion Joan Thompson, 701 West Central Avenue, Winfield, IA 52659 by April 8. Winfield Lions Club is sponsoring Iowa Wesleyan University to become a Charter Campus Lions Club.
