The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room.
Fifteen members wee present along with guest, District Gov. Don Foor.
In the absence of Lion President Loree Stogdill, first vice president Billie Jo Rose called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance; Lion Gene Miller gave the opening prayer.
After a delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, the meeting reconvened with remarks by Gov. Don Foor. He issued an invitation to club members to attend the district conference in April and thanked the club for its contributions to the Mt. Pleasant Campus Club.
The secretary read the minutes of the Jan. 25 meeting. They were approved as amended. Lion treasurer Randy Finke gave his report. Correspondence from Camp Courageous was read asking for donations for the Visual Impairment Camp this summer. It was moved, seconded and approved to make a donation.
It was brought to the club's attention that lions Arvid Anderson and Larry Fletcher were both home from the hospital and showing improvement.
There was no new business.
A motion was made to adjourn.
Members were reminded that the Crawfordsville Lions Club is holding a Pancake Supper Saturday, Feb. 20, from 4 -7 p.m. at the WACO Elementary School. Pancakes, eggs and sausage will be served.
Proceeds will go to Alzheimer's Association/Longest Day and Angel Marsh.
Tickets are available from any Lions Club member or Agri Way in Crawfordsville.
