The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Eleven members were present.

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Nov. 22, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Eleven members were present.
President Ellie Todd led the meeting. Maggie Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was ?What is your favorite food for Thanksgiving??
The secretary?s minutes were read by Sophie Bell and approved by Bailey Rees. Zoe Dennler seconded them. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Zoe Dennler approved the treasurer?s report. Seconded by Ally Rees.
In Old Business, they discussed Washington County 4-H Awards Night. Green Acres 4-H was well represented with 9 members present. Green Acres 4-H was recognized for their contributions to the Iowa 4-H Foundation/State 4-H Council donated $3 or more per member to the Iowa 4-H?ers for 4-H campaign. In addition, Green Acres 4-H Club was recognized for their outstanding fair ticket sales. Green Acres 4-H was recognized at third overall club in herdsmanship at the Washington County Fair, too. Intermediate member, Sophie Bell, earned the Intermediate Citizenship Award. Sophie Bell earned the Washington County 4-H Communications and Food and Nutrition county awards. Ellie Bell earned the Washington County 4-H Horticulture and Rabbit county awards. Eleven club members earned Outstanding Record Book awards as well. Bailey and Ally Rees were recognized as Outstanding Junior Members. The club treasurer, Ellie Bell, handed out checks for the premium money club members earned if they turned in a completed record book by the record book deadline.
In New Business, Sophie Bell shared about finishing the paperwork needed for the DuPont Pioneer Grant. Discussion was held on what do for our Christmas meeting in December. Ally Rees motioned to have a Christmas party, gift exchange and mystery meal. Emma Craig seconded the motion. The club also discussed expanding its Green Acres 4-H Club apparel. Ideas for new apparel shared were quarter zips, crew necks, tank-tops, long sleeve shirts, and sweatpants. Green Acres Club Leader, Tanya Stalder will put together information to have available for club members and their families to order at the December and/or January meeting. If any club member has other apparel ideas, please get them to Tanya as soon as possible. Tanya also shared the new year of program work, presentation schedule, hostess information and contact info with everyone.
Baylee Stalder motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ellie Bell. Zoe Dennler led the 4-H Pledge.
After the meeting club members gave presentations. Ellie Todd gave a presentation on ?Pickle Roll Dip.? Ellie Bell gave a presentation on ?Champagne D?Argent Rabbits.? Sophie Bell gave a presentation on ?Pumpkin Krispie Treats.? Maggie Smith gave a presentation on ?Vanilla Cinnamon Spice Cookie Mix.? Baylee Stalder gave a presentation on ?Monster Cookie Balls.? Samantha Mellinger gave a presentation on ?My Careers.?
The next meeting will be held on the second Sunday of the month, Sunday, Dec. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building where members will celebrate Christmas with a 4-H gift exchange and mystery supper.
