Readers and Writers department of Fortnightly Club met Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, at the Washington Public Library. Nine members and one guest, LeAnn, Kunz, were present.
Chairman Patty Roe conducted a short business meeting. The Nov. 10 luncheon was discussed, with tickets to become available in a short time.
LeAnn spoke about her background in teaching and then serving as a librarian. She has currently been working for 15 years as a librarian at the Washington Public Library. She told about the Washington Writers Workshop, which meets monthly on Saturday mornings. Workshop attendees have included people interested in different forms of writing, such as sermons, nonfiction, poetry, and journalism. She also discussed various kinds of inspiration, work habits and writing habits.
The next meeting will be at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 10, at the Washington Public Library. The suggested topic is ?A Thanksgiving Memory.? This will be the last meeting until February.
Readers and Writers department meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month (no meetings in December or January). Guests and potential members are welcome.
