Eleven members of Moss Country Friends Chapter of P.Buckley Moss Society met at Paz en La Tormenta in Wellman on Monday, Nov. 23, and enjoyed a wonderful Mexican meal.
In October, members volunteered at the P. Buckley Moss Art Show, entertained Pat Moss at the Kalona Bakery for a delicious evening meal and hosted a dinner/auction on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Kalona Historical Village. The roast beef and chicken dinner was served by Ila Miller to 80 guests and Dwight Duwa made sure a good time was had by all as he auctioned off items such as a Kalona Basket, Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Basket, Wine Basket, light wine bottles, Moss Quilted Wall Hanging quilted by Pearl Yoder, Framed Moss Prints and much more. The winner of the raffle, a framed remarqued print titled, "A Time to Harvest," was won by Donna Voss of Cedar Rapids.
Shirley Buffer gave reports of our fundraising efforts which will allow the chapter to help two local children receive much needed equipment. Members are very appreciative of all who helped make these events so successful.
