The Washington County Historical Society executive board met at 9 a.m., Oct. 22 at Conger House in Washington, with eight members and one guest attending. Presiding officer was Ferd Marie.

The Washington County Historical Society executive board met at 9 a.m., Oct. 22 at Conger House in Washington, with eight members and one guest attending. Presiding officer was Ferd Marie.
A sign will be placed at Red Brick School, noting Carlton Mangold?s efforts in its restoration as a country school museum. Mike Kramme is assembling material on county residents, to be placed in a new display area. Terry O?Neill announced that the Historical Society has received a chair that had belonged to Indiana Brinton. Conger House will be closed for the winter, but arrangements can be made for small tours.
The next meeting will be at 9 a.m., Nov. 19, in Conger House. There will be a series of workdays on Wednesday afternoons for members who can help.
