The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, March 20, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present.

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, March 20, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present.

The secretary?s minutes were read by Sophie Bell and approved by Zoe Dennler. Ellie Bell seconded them. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Baylee Stalder approved the treasurer?s report, seconded by Zoe Dennler.
In old business, FSQA is Saturday, April 23, from 8:15 a.m. to noon. Club members who attended the photography workshop shared about their experiences. Saturday, April 16, is the Pancake Breakfast where 4-H?ers can volunteer and the club will host an open house in the Old Schoolhouse where County Council will have a food stand during the cattle show from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Zoey Dennler?s dad, Darren, presented three different bench prices for the club service project to make two new Green Acres 4-H Club benches for the Washington County Fairgrounds. Ellie Bell made a motion for the club to make two treated wood benches with money out of the club treasury. Ally Rees seconded the motion. Darren will purchase and cut all of the wood for the benches and club members will be putting them together at the open house. The club will reimburse Darren for the supplies purchased.
In new business, club leader Tanya Stalder shared about discounts within the community for 4-H members. 4-H T-shirts for all club members are free thanks to Federation Bank. Sizes were taken for this newly designed 4-H shirt. Tanya shared that a new award this year for all ages is the 4-H Participation Award being sponsored by CBI Bank. All animals have to be entered online by the May 15 deadline. Ally Rees approved the motion of donating $39 to 4-H?ers for 4-H campaign. Natalie McCleary seconded the motion. Signing up for mentoring of Clover Kids needs to be done as soon as possible at the 4-H Office. Club leader Tanya Stalder talked about nominating people for the 4-H Hall of Fame.
Club members participated in an Easter egg scavenger hunt across the Washington County Fairgrounds prepared by club leader Tanya Stalder where 4-H?ers had to read clues about 4-H and fair activities to find their next egg until they found the final one and grand prize inside the 4-H building. Afterward, 4-H?ers worked together to unwrap a very large cellophane candy ball, working as a team! Club members took home much candy, pencils and other trinkets courtesy of club leader Tanya Stalder.
The next meeting they will update theirclub pride board so club members are to wear their new Green Acres shirts. Natalie McCleary motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Bailey Rees. Ellie Bell led the 4-H Pledge.
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, April 24, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building.
