The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present. Prior to the meeting, club members and their families enjoyed a potluck family supper.
President Baylee Stalder led the meeting. Bailey Rees led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was ?What is your favorite class in school??

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Washington County 4-H Building. Thirteen members were present. Prior to the meeting, club members and their families enjoyed a potluck family supper.

The secretary?s minutes were read by Sophie Bell and approved by Bailey Rees. Natalie McCleary seconded them. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Natalie McCleary approved the treasurer?s report, seconded by Ellie Todd.
In Old Business, members discussed when we are scraping, priming, and painting the inside of the Old Schoolhouse. On Saturday, Oct. 10, members are scraping and priming the Old Schoolhouse at 9 a.m. to whenever finished. On Saturday, Oct. 24, members are painting the inside of the Old Schoolhouse at 9 a.m. to whenever we are finished and if necessary, Sunday, Oct. 25, members will finish anything up if needed. Club members and their families are to bring any supplies they have on hand and as many hands as possible to get this DuPont Pioneer Grant project completed.
In New Business, Green Acres 4-H Club Leader, Tanya Stalder, had members write down their contact information so she can be in contact with members and their families as needed. All members ?record books needed to be turned into club leader, Tanya Stalder by the end of the meeting. Anyone not turning in a record book, will not receive fair premium monies. They will go toward the Green Acres 4-H Club treasury. Tuesday, Oct. 6, club members are to wear a 4-H shirt to help promote 4-H during 4-H week Sunday, Oct.4 through Saturday, Oct. 10. Also on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Unc and Neph?s is giving 10 percent of its non-alcoholic sales to Washington County 4-H from 5 p.m. until closing. Be sure to stop in or order carry-out foods to support Washington County 4-H.
Saturday, Nov. 7, at 5:30 p.m. is the 4-H Awards Night and Potluck Supper at the Washington County 4-H Building. The club tabled a Green Acres 4-H Club Bake Sale date with all that is going on this month, we will discuss it again at next month?s meeting.
At the end of our meeting we elected officers for the next 4-H year. Club leader, Tanya Stalder informed the members that Junior members cannot hold the top four offices which are president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Officer elections were held. Members wrote down what offices they would be interested in if they were at all interested in the positions. Members running for each office had to stand up to introduce themselves and tell why they wanted the position. Officers elected were: president - Ellie Todd; vice president - Maggie Smith; secretary - Sophie Bell; treasurer - Ellie Bell; historian - Ally Rees; historian - Ava Wulf and communications director - Millie Craig.
Maggie Smith motioned to adjourn the meeting. Ellie Todd led the 4-H Pledge.
After the meeting, club members enjoyed a hayride provided by the Lance and Kerri Bell family on their farms with help from Mike Todd, Tyler Rees, Adam Todd, and Aaron Wulf.
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. at the Washington County 4-H Building.
