The Creative Living Department of Washington Fortnightly held its regular monthly meeting on Dec. 3, at Halcyon House. Janice Twinam was hostess, and Maxine Davisson was co-hostess.
A cooperative luncheon was held at noon with 10 members in attendance. Following the delicious luncheon, the business meeting was called to order by Joleen Krotz. President Krotz read the inspirational ?The Best Thing to Give,? sent by Esther Bordwell, who was unable to attend. Sharon Niffenegger read the treasurer?s report and the minutes of the last meeting. Sonja Campbell reported on the executive board meeting, and also on the anniversary lunch that was held on Nov. 10. Corrected bylaws were discussed, and she announced that next year will mark the 120th year of Fortnightly. A sign-up sheet was passed to the members to host the meetings for 2016.
The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m., Feb. 25, at Halcyon House, with Sharon Niffenegger as hostess and Shirley Pfeifer as co-hostess. The program will be given by Susan Wellington on Lending Hands. There will be no January meeting. The roll call for the February meeting will be ?A Senior Health Tip.?
Joleen Krotz closed the meeting and welcomed Julia Gamon to entertain the group with her excellent piano presentation, playing several Christmas theme songs.
