The Washington County Historical Society executive board met at 7 p.m. on May 26, 2016, at Conger House in Washington. Six members attended, and Ferd Marie was presiding officer.

The Washington County Historical Society executive board met at 7 p.m. on May 26, 2016, at Conger House in Washington. Six members attended, and Ferd Marie was presiding officer.
During the meeting the group learned that the leaking roof at Walnut School and areas of squirrel damage at Conger House have been repaired. Conger House will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month from June through October. Conger House will also be open on June 5, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 29. Volunteers are needed to host on these dates.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55, and work continued on the summer exhibit of wedding gowns and accessories. About 20 gowns from 1894 to the 1970s will be on display.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m., June 23 in Conger House.
