July 2, Janine Rosien was hostess for Chapter J, P.E.O. Shari Mitchell provided refreshments.Thirteen members were in attendance.

President Sara Bartlett conducted the business meeting. Betty Colby served as guard. Chaplain Carol Winga read Scripture from John 6: 16-21 followed for prayer.

Correspondence was read by Jo Ross. A memorial book has been placed in the library honoring Ruthella English.

Lynn Loula reported on the progress of an application for an educational loan fund candidate.

Lynn Loula invited chapter J members to bring a guest to a Birthday Tea Thursday, July 23, at 3 p.m., in her home to celebrate Chapter J's 130th Birthday. Peggy Helscher will host the Aug. 6 meeting.

Meredith Lumberg gave a program on her experience as a delegate to Girls' State.
