Chapter J of P.E.O. met in the home of Tori Lumberg on Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. President Sara Bartlett called the meeting to order.
Committee reports consisted of Mary Chmelar reporting on the Scholar Award. Mary shared that successful P.E.O. applicants for the Scholar Award receive $15,000 annually and that nationally there were 90 Scholar Award Recipients in 2014.

Chapter J of P.E.O. met in the home of Tori Lumberg on Oct. 1 at 6:30 p.m. President Sara Bartlett called the meeting to order.
Committee reports consisted of Mary Chmelar reporting on the Scholar Award. Mary shared that successful P.E.O. applicants for the Scholar Award receive $15,000 annually and that nationally there were 90 Scholar Award Recipients in 2014.
Tori Lumberg reported on Cottey College, a P.E.O. college for women in Nevada, Missouri. Cottey is sponsoring ?C? weekend for prospective students on Nov. 6-8. Prospective students must be 16 years old to participate in the weekend?s activities. An Iowa girl attending Cottey may receive $10,000 toward her tuition cost. The group was reminded that Cottey College is now a four-year school.
President Baratlett reminded the group that the Nov. 5 program is at Debbie Leith?s home with Katie Lujan speaking about Family Law. Katie and Leslie Paul are co-hostesses.
Tori Lumberg gave a very interesting program on her hobby, home brewing.
