Washington Area Amateur Radio Club
The Washington Area Amateur Radio Club's FCC volunteer certified examiners recently offered a testing opportunity for aspiring Hams at the Washington Public Library.
Testing is offered every other month on the second Saturday, usually at 10:30 a.m. Morse code is no longer required, just basic electronics, FCC rules and operating procedures and etiquette.
The club has instructors available to present classes upon request. Call Mark Lukins at 319-461-4675 for details. Textbooks are available.
