CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS: Chapter NZ P.E.O. Sisterhood

Chapter NZ of the P.E.O. Sisterhood met for their regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 23, in the home of Missy Sitar with Janet Roederer, Patty Madden, Pat Heusmann, and Connie Geiser serving as co-hostesses.
President Jean Thomson presided at the 1 p.m. business meeting, with 25 members present.
Reports were given by the officers. Membership co-chairman, Karen Wenstrand announced that there would be a chapter outing on Friday, Oct. 4, to West Branch. Members wishing to go should contact Wenstrand. The group plans to leave from the Mt. Pleasant Methodist church parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and will return by 5 p.m.
Janet Roederer shared with the chapter about the purchase of the 150 Celebration ornaments. The chapter will have a workshop to restring and package the ornaments sold for mailing.
At the close of the meeting, members shared many stories about Convention of International Chapter held Sept. 10-15 in Des Moines, with tours taking place on the Iowa Wesleyan University campus.
The hostess and co-hostesses served fall refreshments at the close of the program.
Vice President Jan Lange announced that the next time the group gets together will be the Henry County fall dinner on Monday, Oct. 14, at the New London Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. Social will be at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by Sunday, Oct. 6, to the president or the treasurer.
The next regular meeting will be on Monday, Oct. 28, in the home of Lynn Graf with Nancy Vens, Becky Kauffman, Patti McClure and Waunita Hobbie serving as co-hostesses. Andrea Wright with the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility will be sharing with the chapter about the Furry Rescue Development Program.
