Henry County Pioneer Cemetery Commission

The Henry County Pioneer Cemetery Commission will meet at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, in the Conference Room of the Henry County Courthouse in Mt. Pleasant.

All those interested in the Pioneer Cemeteries of Henry County are welcome to attend.

Fleur-de-Lis Club

Pat Stout was hostess for the Thursday, Sept. 26, Fleur-de-Lis Club meeting. Members met at 12:30 p.m. at the Panda Palace Chinese restaurant on the square in Washington. She was thanked for her contribution as part of the meal. Members enjoyed a leisurely meal with each ordering different entrees from the menu. Conversation revolved around summer activities of members and their families from trips, moving and relocating, house building, reunions, etc.

Following lunch, Nancy Kimmel, president, conducted a short and brief business meeting. Roll call was answered with each member telling of a new product or a memorable experience. A variety of answers was enjoyed. Linda Birney, secretary and treasurer, read the minutes of the June meeting and gave the treasurer report as the club did not meet during the months of July and August.

Members then departed for the afternoon.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 24, at 1:30 p.m. with Nancy Kimmel as hostess.
