Clyde and Patricia Dawson to celebrate 70 years

On July 31, Clyde and Patricia Dawson will celebrate 70 years of marriage. In lieu of an open house to prevent the spread of COVID-19, anyone wishing to celebrate with them is encouraged to call, email, or send a card to 2744 Ivy Avenue, Washington, Iowa 52353.
Patricia Stewart and Clyde A. Dawson were married July 31, 1950, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Clyde taught school for one year in Richmond and farmed for four years near Grace Hill. For the next five years, he worked for American Airlines in Chicago, Illinois, and Fort Worth, Texas. The couple then returned to Washington, where they farmed west of town.
Clyde and Pat share their life and adventures with their five children: Tom (Jana) Dawson of Washington, Vickie (Terry) Moore (deceased), Gary Dawson (Betty Hamil) of Washington, Harold (Sherry) Dawson of Washington, and Jim (Stephanie) Dawson of Independence. They are the grandparents of 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
