Cold front, low wind chills, move through today
The national weather service in the Quad Cities reports a very strong cold front will sweep through eastern Iowa early this afternoon and Illinois later this afternoon, ending any remaining fog.
The cold front will bring sharply colder temperatures to the region. Wind chills late tonight will drop as low as zero in some parts of eastern Iowa.

The national weather service in the Quad Cities reports a very strong cold front will sweep through eastern Iowa early this afternoon and Illinois later this afternoon, ending any remaining fog.
The cold front will bring sharply colder temperatures to the region. Wind chills late tonight will drop as low as zero in some parts of eastern Iowa.
Thursday through Tuesday will include an extended period of cold weather across the area.
Wind chills are expected to drop below zero Thursday night and Friday night.
Wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero are possible Monday night.
On Sunday and Sunday night there are indications of a weak storm system moving through the area producing snow.
It?s too early to give exact amounts, but there is a potential for an inch or two of snow accumulation.
