Jul. 18, 2021 2:25 pm
The City of Columbus Junction has once again partnered with Louisa County Conservation to bring children some summertime fun. Summer Rec will be held at the Chautauqua Park in Columbus Junction from Aug. 2-6 from 9 a.m. to noon for youth entering Kindergarten-2nd.
Summer Rec is free and open to all kids in the Columbus Junction area. This summer, the theme is “Animal Olympics.” Participants will explore the extraordinary adaptations of Iowa wildlife by playing exciting games, making crafts, and exploring the outdoors. A snack is provided during each day of Summer Rec.
Participants must have a signed permission form to attend. Forms should be turned in on their first day. They are available online at LouisaCountyConservation.org, at City Hall, or can be filled out upon arrival at Summer Rec.
For questions, contact Louisa County Conservation at 319-523-8381, email lsemken@louisacounty.gov, or check out the website LouisaCountyConservation.org. Summer Rec is sponsored by the City of Columbus Junction and provided by Louisa County Conservation.
