First Lutheran Church in Fairfield has transitioned its free 'Come to Supper” meal from a sit-down to a drive-thru meal.
The church made the change March 31, when it began serving meals for residents to carry out at the church, where it had previously served meals in its basement.
The meals are served every Tuesday between 4-6 p.m. Reservations are appreciated but not required. To reserve a meal, call the church between 9 a.m. and noon on weekdays, or email flcpastor@lisco.com. Questions can be director to Pastor Greg Friedrich at 641-472-4184. Friedrich said that the Come to Supper meal was previously made by a number of civic groups, but now to avoid interpersonal contact, only members of the church are making the meals.
