Comet pitching shuts out Van Buren in six
KEOSAUQUA ? Cardinal?s Laci Moore and Allison Ollom combined to pitch a two-hitter over six innings Tuesday on their way to an 11-0 shutout of Van Buren.

Laci Moore started the game, allowing one hit with four strikeouts over four innings of work, and Ollom worked the last two innings, fanning two while giving up the other hit.
At the plate for Cardinal, Sarah Greiner finished 3-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Lindsay Moore was 3-4 with a two-bagger, and Ollom knocked in three runs on 2-2 hitting. Danae Moses scored two runs and Liz Nichols finished with two RBI.
The Comets (2-0) host Burlington in a varsity doubleheader today. Van Buren hosts Harmony on Friday.
